This module focuses on the role of marketing in the organisation and the key concepts that underpin the activities of the marketer. You will explore the marketing environment, customer behaviour in the digital age, market research and the marketing planning process. This will include the marketing mix and a tactical planning framework to aid marketing effectiveness.
Entry Requirements
To enrol on this course, you will need one or more of the following:
- CIM Foundation Certificate
- A relevant level 3 qualification
- Any UK degree or international equivalent
- International Baccalaureate
- Professional practice: one year’s experience in a marketing role and a diagnostic assessment onto level 4
CIM Membership
Membership with CIM is required to allow candidates to book exams and access support and resources. All students studying CIM qualifications can join at the Affiliate Studying level for £65 per year.
Qualification Time & Assessment
The CIM Level 4 Award has been calculated as carrying 20 credits, which equates to approximately 200 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT) which is made up of:
- guided learning hours
- practical and work-based learning
- assessment preparation time
- assessment time
- supported self-study time
The assessment for this module is an onscreen exam that can be taken at a time convenient for you. The exam duration is 120 minutes.
