Module Overview

Content marketing is essential for successful digital marketing campaigns. This module equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to create impactful content that aligns with marketing objectives. You’ll explore various content formats and their roles in enhancing the customer journey, as well as the influence of emerging technologies on content creation. Additionally, you’ll learn to develop a comprehensive content plan that supports your organization’s initiatives.

The module covers three key areas: first, it highlights the significance of content marketing in driving organizational marketing efforts; second, it examines different content formats and their application to engage target audiences; and third, it focuses on the skills necessary to create an effective content marketing plan and evaluate its outcomes.

Student Outcomes

By the end of this module students will:
  • Recognise the importance of content marketing to organisations.
  • Understand different content formats across a range of contexts.
  • Understand how to create a content marketing plan.

Credits and Qualification Time

This is a 10-credit module, equating to approximately 100 study hours made up of:
  • guided learning hours
  • practical and work-based learning
  • exam preparation time
  • exam time
  • supported self-study time

CIM Membership

Membership with CIM is required to allow students to book exams and access support and resources. All students studying CIM qualifications can join at the Affiliate Studying level for £65 per year.

Assessment

The assessment for this module is a 2 hour online exam that can be taken at a time convenient for you. 

Fees

Tuition fees are payable to TMLA prior to starting your course. CIM membership and exam fees are payable directly to CIM.

Tuition Fees:

£650+ VAT for this stand alone module or £2,490 + VAT for the full qualification.

CIM Fees:

£130 (VAT exempt) exam fee per module + £65 annual student CIM membership.

Entry Requirements

You’ll need to have a minimum of one year’s experience in the industry or a relevant Level 3 qualification to study the Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing or Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing.

Alternatively, an equivalent Level 3 Apprenticeship such as the Multi-channel Marketer or Marketing Assistant would also be accepted. CIM will consider other equivalent Marketing Apprenticeships.

If English is not your first language, you will also need to provide evidence of achieving one of the following English Language qualifications within the last two years: IELTS Academic Module with an overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above) or Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above. CIM will consider other equivalent alternatives.
