Marketing shapes perceptions, drives demand, and builds connections, making it essential for businesses to succeed in competitive markets and effectively engage their audiences. In this module, candidates will explore the role of marketing within organizations and the fundamental concepts that guide marketing activities. Topics will include the marketing environment, customer behavior in the digital age, market research, and the marketing planning process. You’ll also delve into the marketing mix and a tactical planning framework designed to enhance marketing effectiveness.
This module aims to provide a solid understanding of key marketing concepts and their relevance to modern organizations across various sectors. It focuses on three main outcomes: the first examines the role of marketing, the second involves crafting a marketing plan, and the third emphasizes the execution and measurement of marketing activities.
Membership with CIM is required to allow students to book exams and access support and resources. All students studying CIM qualifications can join at the Affiliate Studying level for £65 per year.
The assessment for this module is a 2 hour online exam that can be taken at a time convenient for you.
£800+ VAT for this stand alone module or £2,490 + VAT for the full qualification.
£130 (VAT exempt) exam fee per module + £65 annual student CIM membership.
You’ll need to have a minimum of one year’s experience in the industry or a relevant Level 3 qualification to study the Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing or Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing.
Alternatively, an equivalent Level 3 Apprenticeship such as the Multi-channel Marketer or Marketing Assistant would also be accepted. CIM will consider other equivalent Marketing Apprenticeships.
If English is not your first language, you will also need to provide evidence of achieving one of the following English Language qualifications within the last two years: IELTS Academic Module with an overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above) or Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above. CIM will consider other equivalent alternatives.
